Music Bio
Gary's musical journey started in Alert Bay, B.C. in the early 1990s, where he and five other family members started a band called Liquid Courage. In 2000, Gary moved to Victoria, where he performed in the local bar scene for two years — until a phone call to perform on APTN (Aboriginal Peoples Television Network) became a pivotal point in his career. The program, First Peoples Music and Arts, ran Gary's performance for every year it aired.

Three years later, Gary had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida to perform at Fashion Rock, where artists from around the world showcase for a panel of recording and music agencies from Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Nashville.
When Gary arrived back home he had invitations to come to all these cities — he chose Los Angeles, where he would spend the next year and nine months, showcased alongside other artists across the California music scene. Gary went to open mic jams and karaoke bars to advertise his performances, a good way to spread his voice and be seen.
Gary returned to Canada to visit a friend who had been given a month to live from a rare bone disease. He spent time in Whistler, B.C. visiting his father, who was working there — and it was here that Gary met his great friend Kostas Lymberto's, who had a band named "Kostaman."
Gary would go to local jams, sing backup in his friend's band, and perform his own music as well — later touring British Columbia two summers in a row at reggae festivals with Kostaman. Gary spent the next three years singing in Whistler, recording music when there was studio time, and searching for his older son, Garry Jr., about whom all of Gary's songs were written. Living on couches and in the back of his Cadillac, Gary spent three years searching for his son — until he found him and brought him home on December 21, 2010, three days before Christmas and five months before his son's 16th birthday, which happens to be the first birthday of Gary's second son, Kostas.
One year later, Gary's first CD, Flood the World, was picked up and played on the radio New Year's Day by Janet Rogers of CBC/CFUV. This made Gary the first new discovery in the world scene of music for 2012.

Gary has opened for acts including George Leach, Gary Farmer and the Troublemakers, Murray Porter, and Bill Henderson (Chilliwack). He has performed at several Aboriginal Day opening ceremonies in Victoria, B.C., as well as at:
